    Bookstore

    Find study and reference materials, textbooks (including rentals), supplies, general reading books, GGC Grizzly apparel and much more at the Bookstore. Grizzlies can sell their books back to the Bookstore through the store's year-round buy-back policy. Graduating Grizzlies may also order graduation regalia and related items, as well as frames for those newly earned diplomas.

    Claw Card (ID)

    Your Claw Card is your identification card with access to campus services and events. Make purchases throughout campus, including the Dining Hall and Bookstore, without ever having to carry cash.

    Enjoy some of the tastiest food in Lawrenceville – right here on campus, including all-you-can-eat buffets, our Mongolian grill, grab-and-go options, sandwiches, salads and dessert bars.

    We have flexible meal plans to suit your needs – for resident students and commuters alike – including Meals per Week, the Block Plan or the use of Munch Money. All campus dining locations accept Claw Cards, so it's convenient.

    Emergency Assistance Programs

    GGC offers student emergency assistance programs through Grizzlies Helping Grizzlies and the GGC Care Pantry – programs that address food insecurities, homelessness, and more. Find the support you need, and find out how Grizzlies meet these challenges as a community to embrace students’ needs.

    Grizzly Care Team

    The Grizzly Care Team promotes campus safety and the well-being of students through the identification, assessment, intervention and management of student situations that may pose a threat to the safety and well-being of the campus community and/or the individual student. The Grizzly Care Team develops intervention and support strategies and takes appropriate action to help connect the student to any necessary resources and/or further resolve the situation.

    Health Services wants to ensure that GGC students have access to basic health care and health information. Our goal is to promote student wellness and provide students with the necessary resources so that they may function at the best possible health level.

    Wellness and Recreation

    Are you ready for some fun? Get access to exciting opportunities for athletic and adventurous activities on campus through Wellness and Recreation.

    Sign up for a racquetball tournament or choose from a variety of intramural and club sports, like sand volleyball, tennis or indoor soccer. There’s also the option of dropping by the Wellness and Recreation Center for weight training or cardio fitness.

      Advisement

      We believe student advisement is about being part of a community of friends, intellectuals, peers and mentors who are all here to help you succeed. That is why each and every student is assigned a personal mentor.

      To learn your mentor, log in to Grizzly Den within Banner, student self-service. Then click "Student and Financial Aid." Select "View Student Record," then click "Student Information." Your mentor is listed as your primary advisor.

      Army ROTC

      The GGC Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) focuses on training and developing future leaders. ROTC classes and field training exercises provide you with the tools and experience needed to succeed in any competitive environment. The curriculum covers management, ethics, tactics, law, military history and army culture.

      Conversation Partner Program (international languages)

      Paired native and non-native English speakers learn about other cultures and languages in a comfortable format that is fun and educational.

      eCore

      eCore is a USG collaborative program established to make higher education more accessible to Georgia students.

      Education Abroad

      Travel the world and earn college credits at the same time. The Internationalization office is your passport to study abroad opportunities. One of our missions is to increase the number of GGC students participating in education abroad programs across disciplines; and expand student participation in a broad range of other international opportunities, including but not limited to internships, research fellowships and service learning.

      Elite Scholars Program

      The Elite Scholars Program is a leadership development program dedicated to academic excellence, setting career goals and cultivating the talents and abilities of African American male students. It's free to apply, and there's no cost to participate.

      Freshman Learning Communities provide themed options that enhance the freshman experience and support your success at GGC.

      GGC Reads, Campus Reading Program

      Connect with your Grizzly community through GGC Reads, the campus-wide common reading program.

      A new book launches the program during the academic year and each text is carefully selected by the GGC Reads Committee. Throughout the academic year, you'll engage and share ideas with other participants, through course assignments, programs, events, activities and speakers.

      Group Study App (CircleIn)

      GGC subscribes to CircleIn, an easy-to-use group study app and website where students learn from and support each other, determine solutions to their academic challenges, and gain a deeper understanding of the coursework together.       Honors Program

      GGC offers qualified students admission into the GGC Honors Program. This program offers you an integrated educational experience through enhanced opportunities in scholarship, leadership, service and creativity.

      International Learning

      GGC dedicates a week to an array of campus-wide events to celebrate and promote intercultural learning.

      Internationalized courses (i-courses) contain a wealth of international content, which provides broader global awareness and perspective.

      Gain relevant, real-world experience and academic credit by exploring academic internships.

      Mathematica

      Available to students and faculty, Mathematica provides a single, integrated system for usage in many different areas, including mathematical calculations and visualization, working with all types of data, image processing, instant creation of interactive models and more. Create a Wolfram account using your GGC Claw Mail, then log in to download the software.

      Peer Mentoring (Grizzly Mentor Collective)

      The Grizzly Mentor Collective connects new students virtually with peer mentors to help navigate college’s challenges and opportunities on their way to success.

      Microsoft Office

      Students may install Microsoft Office on up to five personal devices (PCs, macs, tablets and smartphones).

      Student Handbook

      Information on GGC’s academic policies, standards and procedures is contained in the latest edition of the Student Handbook.

      Student-led Study Sessions (PSI)

      The Peer Supplemental Instruction (PSI) program provides both support for students in freshmen courses and leadership opportunities for junior and seniors.

      Student Success Advising Center

      The Student Success Advising Center offers mentoring and advising support for students enrolled in Student Success classes, including English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English, reading and math.

      Advising for Student Success students promotes the personal success and academic achievement of students through quality educational advisement, academic planning and targeted skills development. Advising provides students with information regarding testing, course placement, curricular choices, programs of study and graduation requirements. Advising also clarifies academic policies and guidelines required by the Board of Regents and by Georgia Gwinnett College and connects students with appropriate campus resources and services.

      Testing Services

      Testing Services provides access to tests that many students must take to get to the next level of their education – from placement testing to CLEP tests.

      Tutoring and Workshops

      Even the best-prepared student hits bumps along the road to success. The Academic Enhancement Center helps you get over those bumps with academic tutoring in a variety of subjects and workshops in things like study skills, time management and grammar. Our services are free and open to students at all levels.

      Women of Worth (W.O.W.) Women’s Empowerment Program

      The Women of Worth (W.O.W.) women’s empowerment program uplifts and empowers students of color through mentoring and learning relationships, and personal and professional growth opportunities in a supportive and inclusive environment.

      Program Benefits

      W.O.W monthly meetings and events focus on the life skills needed to be successful.

      • Increase academic and career success through activities that develop visioning and goal setting, academic success skills, self- advocacy and career exploration.
