Dr. Kenneth “Wayne” Ackerson
Associate Professor of History
Biography
Dr. Kenneth "Wayne" Ackerson taught in Maryland for over 20 years before coming to GGC. Academically, his interests range from Modern African and Indian history to the British Empire, while his specialty is British anti-slavery and humanitarianism in the 19th century. In his spare time, he works as a photographer, plays soccer, loves reading, sings and acts, and enjoys spending time with his Shih Tzu, Mona, a rescue dog who only has one eye.
