Biography
Dr. Anca Garcia has nearly 20 years of teaching experience in both the United States and abroad. Her expertise includes various subjects from Romanian literature and English as a second language to composition, professional and technical communication, and literature. Before joining the faculty at GGC, she taught at Sapientia University of Transylvania (Romania), Valdosta State University (Valdosta, GA), University of South Florida (Tampa, FL), and Danville Community College (Danville, VA).
Garcia has a bachelor’s degree in Romanian and English as a second language, a master’s degree in Romanian and a master’s degree in English, a graduate certificate in professional and technical communication, and a Ph.D. in Old and Middle English literature. She is interested in trauma theory, disability studies, and the rhetoric of health and medicine.
