Naderia Wade
Biography
Dr. Naderia Wade is a lecturer of English at GGC where she primarily teaches composition classes. She has spent over 15 years as an English and writing instructor, specifically focusing on composition and rhetoric, literature and composition, and graduate level research writing.
Wade earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Florida Memorial University, a master’s in education (curriculum and instruction) and a master’s in English (writing and linguistics) from Northwestern State University, LA. She also earned specialist and doctoral degrees in education (instruction leadership) with an emphasis in writing instruction. Her speaking experience includes the importance of rigor in college prep classes, scholarship writing, college admission essays and grant proposal writing. She has also shared her experience in engaging government representatives at the National Council of Teachers of English Advocacy and Leadership Summit.
Before joining GGC, Wade taught at Georgia State University and various other universities. In addition to teaching, she has developed and managed online courses in English, education and professional studies departments. Prior to transitioning to higher education, Wade taught public school for more than 10 years. When not teaching, Wade enjoys traveling, meeting new people, mentoring and spending time with family and friends.
