Next Steps
Follow the steps below to make sure you have everything in place to begin your first semester at GGC.
Step 1 – Incoming freshman, transfer and dual enrolled students, watch for your email invitation to register for Grizzly Orientation. This opportunity provides everything you need to begin classes and succeed in your first year. Attending Grizzly Orientation is mandatory, so sign up early, as sessions fill up quickly. Post-baccalaureate, transient and continuing students are not required to attend Grizzly Orientation.
Step 2 – Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through StudentAid.gov for financial aid, using school code 041429. Our easy to follow Financial Aid Checklist (PDF) will give you more details.
Step 3 – Complete immunization verification requirements.
Step 4 – Submit your final transcripts from your last term of enrollment. Freshman students should submit official high school transcripts including graduation date with diploma type; transfer students should submit official final college transcripts with no “in progress” courses posted.
Step 5 – Submit advanced placement and CLEP test scores. If you have taken advanced placement or have completed a CLEP test and wish to receive college credit, official test scores must be sent to GGC. Request official reports at www.collegeboard.com. Please review the GGC AP-CLEP Policy (PDF) for further information. If you are interested in taking a CLEP test at GGC, please visit Testing Services.
Step 6 – Verify your residency status through Grizzly Den within Banner. Learn more about residency requirements and what to do if you placed as an out-of-state student, but do not believe you should be. Email questions to @email.
Step 7 – Apply for student housing. See GGC's residence policy.
Step 8 – Pay your tuition in full by the stated tuition deadline date.
