Biography
Dr. Nowell Marshall (he/him) is assistant professor of English at Georgia Gwinnett College where he teaches composition, professional and technical writing, and journalism.
He is the author of Romanticism, Gender, and Violence (Bucknell, 2013) and essays on queer and trans gothic (1764-present), LGBT literature, and speculative fiction and film.
At previous institutions, he has taught British literature (1750-1900), American literature (post-1900), speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy and horror), literature and theory survey courses, film and media studies, and web design. He also served as acting director of a gender and sexuality studies program where he was affiliated faculty for nine years. He loves monsters, gender studies, cats, plants and HGTV.
