Biography
An Atlanta native, Dr. Ward attended Georgia State University for her undergraduate degree in biology. She then traveled to Ithaca, N.Y. for her Ph.D. in microbiology at Cornell University. After a post-doctoral fellowship at Emory University studying B. subtilis, she has devoted herself to teaching.
