Biography
Dr. Sanjaya Mayadunne received his Ph.D. in information systems and operations management from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2014. His research interests include spatial competition in the retail industry and information security investment behavior of small and medium enterprises. His research has recently been published in the International Journal of Production Economics (IJPE) and has been presented at national conferences such as INFORMS and the ICIS Workshop on E-Business. He has served as a reviewer for IJPE.
Mayadunne teaches courses in supply chain management and management science. His classes focus on various optimization tools and techniques. An emphasis is places on the application of these techniques to solve problems in business operations and logistics. A typical class session involves students collectively discussing and solving problems. Class participation is highly encouraged. Questions and comments from students are always respected and appreciated. Assignments and practice exams are provided to help students prepare for each scheduled exam. Exams are open-book and open-note. Mayadunne encourages students to schedule tutoring sessions with him whenever they have trouble understand the class material.
