Biography

Dr. Wadner Normil, an esteemed educator with twelve years of experience, currently serves as part-time faculty of anatomy and physiology at Georgia Gwinnett College. His passion for biology and commitment to student success are underscored by his extensive teaching background at institutions such as Clayton State University, Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Atlanta Technical College and Duke University.

Graduating with honors from the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba, Normil brings a global perspective to his teaching. In addition to his academic achievements, he fluently speaks four languages: French, Haitian Creole, Spanish and English, offering students a diverse and inclusive learning experience.

Normil's teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education is a powerful tool for transforming lives, echoing Nelson Mandela's wisdom. He prioritizes creating an optimal learning environment, fostering active student engagement and encouraging a close teacher-student interaction.

Beyond the classroom, Normil actively contributes to the University System of Georgia, participating in committees, curriculum development and mentorship activities. His dedication to institutional advancement reflects a comprehensive understanding of the unique culture within the system.
