Biography
Dr. Whitney Holley has been teaching at Georgia Gwinnett College since 2012. She coauthored Echoes: Music, History, and Culture, a music appreciation textbook, the New Grove Dictionary of American Music article on Tin Pan Ally composer Sidney Clare, and an article on the impact of international CITES regulations on travel and shipping of musical instruments in the Double Reed. She plays principal oboe and English horn for Quintet Athens and is a member of the Toccoa Symphony Orchestra, Athens Symphony, Classic City Band and North Georgia Winds. As a solo and chamber musician, she has performed in Georgia, Arkansas, Wyoming, Italy and France.
