Nominate a student speaker for the spring 2025 commencement

It might be hard to believe, but Georgia Gwinnett College’s (GGC) spring commencement is right around the corner. The Commencement Outstanding Student Committee is excited to request nominations for the May 2025 commencement student speaker.
Do you know a student who exemplifies the core values of GGC regarding scholarship, leadership, service and creativity, and who has a good story to tell? Please take a minute and consider your students, advisees or student workers. Is one of them going to graduate this spring? Would they inspire others?
The student speaker does not need to have the highest GPA but should be a student in good standing who will graduate this spring. If so, please complete the nomination form (PDF) and submit it to Dr. Kelli Shugart, assistant professor of nursing, by Friday, Feb. 21.
Additional stipulations follow:
- Student must participate in spring commencement.
- Student must not have more than six credit hours remaining.
- Student must apply by the deadline for the spring commencement.
On behalf of the committee, thank you for your time.
