Dr. Ellen Rafshoon, authored the chapter, “Pave-it-Blue: Georgia Women and Politics in the Trump Era,” in the book, “Suffrage at 100: Women’s and American Politics Since 1920.” Her chapter covers the emergence of progressive women's activism in Georgia since 2016, based on oral interviews with first-time women candidates and politicians in Georgia. The research was funded in part by a GGC SEED Grant, which included hiring GGC alumna, Michelle Samson, ’19, history, to assist.
