GGC rides to second place in Biketober Workplace Challenge

GGC placed second in the Georgia Commute Options 2021 Biketober Workplace Challenge, a free competition held each October to promote biking to improve health and the environment. Teams compete in categories organized by total employees at their workplace. More than 2,800 participants from 376 organizations competed this past October. GGC has fielded a Biketober team for six years, previously placing first in 2019 and third in 2020.
In the 2021 Biketober Challenge, GGC's team of eight rode a combined total of 1,260 miles and 131 trips in 31 days. The team included:

Dr. David Kirschner, associate professor of sociology, chair of studies
