GGC’s Dr. Alessandra Barrera awarded $8,000 grant to develop low- or no-cost instructional materials

Dr. Alessandra Barrera, associate professor of biology, was awarded a $8,000 continuous grant to develop low- or no-cost instructional materials for a cell biology course. The funding is provided by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents' Affordable Learning Georgia Textbook Transformation Grant program. Barrera’s colleagues for this grant are Drs. Jennifer Hurst-Kennedy, Shoshana Katzman and Jennell Talley, all associate professors of biology.
