GGC's Dr. Rabia Shahbaz awarded a $30,000 transformation grant to develop low- or no-cost instructional materials

Dr. Rabia Shahbaz, assistant professor of mathematics, was awarded a $30,000 transformation grant to develop low- or no-cost instructional materials for a precalculus course. The funding is provided by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents' Affordable Learning Georgia Textbook Transformation Grant program. The project will save GGC students about $78,400. Shahbaz’s colleagues for this grant are, Dr. Jayme Curry Savage, associate professor of mathematics; Angi Lively, instructor of mathematics; Dr. Ekaterina Nathanson, associate professor of mathematics, and Sarah Park, instructor of mathematics.
