Georgia Gwinnett College announces speakers for the 2025 AAMI Summit

The annual African American Male Initiative (AAMI) “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” Summit will once again unite students, faculty and staff of all races, genders and identities for a day of empowerment and connection 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, March 28, in The Heritage Room. A highlight of the summit is the incredible lineup of speakers who will share their experiences and strategies for reaching greatness.

Georgia Gwinnett College is honored to welcome two distinguished guests, including Dr. Akinyele Umoja, a renowned professor of Africana Studies at Georgia State University and dedicated scholar-activist, and Allan Coye, a global leader in digital strategy and business development at Warner Music Group.

This year’s theme – “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother – Dream Big!” – challenges attendees to visualize and set bold goals, overcome obstacles and leverage their networks to achieve success.
