Grizzly Orientation Registration training session
Registration training is an essential component of new faculty orientation. It is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage student registration processes effectively. This virtual training session is scheduled 2-3:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, and will cover the following key areas:
- What is Grizzly Orientation and expectations?
- Degree Works (DW): Faculty will be introduced to DW and its features, including how to find math and English placements in DW and how to navigate DW for transfer and unused courses.
- College Scheduler: Faculty will learn how to use and sign up for learning support courses within College Scheduler and other registration practices.
- E-core: Faculty will learn the definition of e-core, how a student can sign up for an e-core course and the process to sign up for e-core, etc.
- Transfer credits: New faculty will learn the policies of transfer credits.
- Learning Communities (LC): An overview of the spring 2025 Learning Communities and how to assist students in registering for a LC.
- Resources: A list of campus resources will be shared, so new faculty can refer students to the appropriate department for guidance.
By participating in the GO Registration training, new faculty can gain the confidence and expertise needed to successfully manage the registration process and provide excellent support to their students.
The Student Success Advising Center team will host the session. It is for faculty and staff who will be assisting during the registration component of Grizzly Orientations (GO).
Who should participate in the GO Registration Training?
All faculty who has not participated in a GO session, and all experienced GO faculty who would like a refresher in one or more of the topics above.
