Microsoft will be retiring Windows 10 in October 2025. Information Technology (IT) will complete the transition to Windows 11 for all campus computers by July 2025. IT will provide resources and support to make this transition as seamless as possible at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC).

Windows 11 introduces a range of new features and improvements, including a redesigned user interface, enhanced capabilities, better integration with Microsoft services, and improved security features such as enhanced threat protection.

Next steps for faculty and staff: 

• No action is required at this time.
• As the migration date approaches, IT will provide instructions and timelines.
• Please look for updates regarding testing, training and scheduling.
