Information Technology (IT) will launch the required University System of Georgia (USG) Cybersecurity Awareness Training Sept. 30, 2024. This twice-annual training must be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18.

Biannual Cybersecurity Awareness Training now includes two short modules. New employees will complete an additional Cybersecurity Awareness Training module as part of the onboarding process. All assigned modules must be completed.

You will receive email notification from the GGC Helpdesk that provides information on how to access USG Cybersecurity Awareness Training.

The USG provides the training content that must be completed by all faculty and staff twice annually. Cybersecurity awareness benefits our campus by reminding community members to recognize and mitigate common security threats. This training is necessary to comply with an executive order from the governor and a memorandum from the chancellor, both signed in 2019.

If you have any questions regarding the training, please contact the GGC Helpdesk at:
