Georgia Gwinnett College offers free physical assessment and exercise program

Free and fitness are both good things.
At Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC), you can have both by volunteering to participate in a free, 10-week exercise program. The exercise science and physical education team is conducting this program to accomplish two things. First, it gives volunteers a free fitness assessment and personalized training program. Second, GGC’s exercise science students can sharpen their hands-on skills while gaining experience in a practical fitness setting.
Volunteers will have pre- and post-training fitness assessments performed that will include:
- Blood pressure
- Body composition
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Muscular strength
- Balance
- Flexibility
Following the pre-training assessment, participants will undergo a 10-week, personalized fitness training program on Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
To participate, volunteers must:
- Be healthy adults between 45-65.
- Not have any major health complications.
- Not currently be participating in regular exercise.
- Be available Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
To participate, scan the QR code or visit https://tinyurl.com/GGC-ExerciseQuestionnaire to complete the pre-participation survey by Monday, Jan. 27.
