GGC schools, departments and programs strengthened through standardized branding system

GGC logo placeholder for Inside GGC

To distinguish, strengthen and promote Georgia Gwinnett College’s (GGC) brand, the college encourages faculty, staff and students to focus on our brand standards and visual identity. The GGC Communications team implemented branding guidelines to help GGC stand out and attract students in a competitive, higher education environment. All GGC internal and external materials should adhere to these standards.

Logo usage

A strong brand positively impacts an organization’s bottom line. In higher education, institutions with strong brands can boost enrollment, engagement and enhance support.

An important element of GGC’s brand identity is its logo, which, among other things, should be clear, consistent and recognizable.

In keeping with best practices of University System of Georgia institutions, GGC uses a tiered-logo system for all schools, departments, programs and initiatives. The three-tiered system strengthens the college’s brand, while allowing individual units to retain their connection to GGC.

Faculty, staff and students should no longer use logos that are not in the tiered logo system. Examples of these include the Classic Grizzly, Grizzly Strong and the retired GGC Athletics Grizzly logos.

College seal

The college’s seal is its most formal form of identity and should only be used for purposes such as presidential communication, commencement and diplomas. No other usage of the seal is permitted.

For more information, refer to GGC’s college seal and application webpage.

Email signatures

To maintain consistency across all internal and external email communication, faculty and staff should create an email signature by using GGC’s email signature generator.
